McCarthy is the judge that is responsible for presiding over all proceedings in the court. Court sessions are held every Monday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. While Judge McCarthy has authority to make all decisions in drunk driving cases, he must impose the mandatory minimum penalties set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-50 if you fail to defend your charge.
