Charged With DWI in Waterford New Jersey
Waterford may be one of the most rural municipalities in Camden County (i.e. ranks 35th of 37) but do not be mistaken into believing it is not serious about prosecution of DWI offenses. You can expect aggressive effort to convict you if you were arrested for DUI within the 36.26 square miles of this township. This is one of several reasons why you need the best attorney you can find to defend your case. Failure to avert a conviction results in serious penalties that include a license suspension, fines, DMV surcharges and other consequences. There is even a mandatory jail sentence for those convicted of a second offense or third offense in Waterford.
At The Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, our lawyers have extensive experience and training in drunk driving defense. We are the largest DUI firm in the state with several former prosecutors on staff and over 100 years in practice combined. The attorneys on our team also include Jonathan F. Marshall, Colin Bonus and William Proetta, who are among no more than ten in the state who are certified on both the Alcotest breathalyzer and by the NHTSA as instructors in Field Sobriety Testing. An attorney who is equipped to help you escape conviction is available immediately to review your case at 855-450-8310. The consultation is free of charge.
Waterford Municipal Court DUI Charge
The Waterford Municipal Court is located at 2131 Auburn Avenue, Atco, NJ 08004. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The administrative staff, including the Administrator, Heather Campbell, can be reached at 856-768-2300, extension 270. Court sessions are conducted on the first Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m. and the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. The municipal court judge that presides over all DUI cases in Waterford is Honorable Krisden McCrink. Judge McCrink is responsible for making all decisions of both law and fact at trial and other proceedings. The prosecutor is Howard Long, Esq.
There is no ability for the court to relieve you from the mandatory penalties set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-50 unless you can establish a legitimate defect in the prosecutor’s case. The reason is because plea bargaining of DWI charges is illegal. You must identify a flaw in the case against you and convince the judge that there is no way for the state to convict you because of the issue. Having an astute attorney in your camp will obviously increase your chances of reaching this goal.
