New Jersey DWI Defense Attorney
Christopher Pollard is dedicated to defending individuals charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and related traffic offenses throughout New Jersey. He approaches every case with strategic focus, thorough preparation, and a commitment to protecting his clients’ licenses, records, and futures.
Mr. Pollard earned his undergraduate degree in journalism from Rutgers University – College of Arts and Sciences in New Brunswick in 1998. He received his Juris Doctor in 2006 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he was named to the Dean’s List and served as a student mentor. During law school, he interned with the Honorable Rosemarie Aquilina of the 54th District Court in Michigan, conducting legal research and assisting with criminal matters, and later gained prosecutorial experience in the Juvenile Justice Division of the Northampton County (Pennsylvania) Prosecutor’s Office.
Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2008, Mr. Pollard has handled thousands of municipal court cases across the state, with a substantial portion devoted to DWI defense. He has litigated numerous DWI trials and contested hearings, challenging breath test evidence, field sobriety testing procedures, probable cause determinations, and constitutional violations. His extensive municipal court experience gives him practical insight into how DWI cases are prosecuted — and how to effectively defend against them.
Mr. Pollard’s courtroom experience also includes serious criminal matters in Superior Court, including securing a “not guilty” verdict in a complex money laundering and conspiracy case in Middlesex County. That broader trial experience strengthens his approach in DWI cases, where careful cross-examination and procedural challenges can make a decisive difference.
In 2022, Mr. Pollard joined the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, where he focuses on providing skilled, aggressive representation in DWI and traffic-related matters throughout New Jersey.
When not in court, Mr. Pollard enjoys tennis, music, literature, and film — but his primary professional focus remains defending clients facing the serious consequences of a DWI charge.
